We are looking for ad-hoc flexible support to help deliver a range of presentations and workshops in schools across Gloucestershire. This is not a permanent position, and it does not guarantee employment. It is an opportunity to join a bank which will be drawn upon as and when opportunities arise.

GROWS is a consortium of higher education providers within Gloucestershire, led by the University of Gloucestershire. GROWS deliver the Office for Students (OfS) Uni Connect Programme locally in Gloucestershire. The project is funded by OfS to August 2026 with a possible extensionfor future funding.

The project has a remit to work with schools and colleges in Gloucestershire to provide a range of interventions to ensure young people are well informed about their educational options to encourage aspiration/ support ambitions to progress to higher education level study (including apprenticeships). We often deliver to large groups broken down into class sizes and require multiple people at the same time delivering the same session.

We are looking for additional delivery people to join our bank of deliverers who give a range of engaging informational presentations, workshops, and experiences. These are delivered both in secondary schools and on campuses.

Sessions are written and provided for you allowing you to focus on high quality delivery.

We are looking for individuals with experience of working with secondary school aged young people alongside strong presentation and facilitation skills. You’ll be confident delivering to large audiences, able to engage, motivate and inspire young people, and comfortable adapting your approach to different audiences. Applicants should have personal experience of the UK education system, including undertaking a university undergraduate course and a clear understanding of post-16 and post-18 pathways.

You’ll join a supportive but busy team who will provide training in all the sessions. Delivery will require frequent travel around the region, potentially taking boxes of resources, stands and equipment.

Travel costs will be reimbursed at usual University rates.

Please make it clear on your application if you are applying for this ad hoc role or the progression adviser role or both.
