P/T Cashier
Position Summary
Provide support and customer service for the cashier office, including cashiering and student assistance. Provide accounting support to the Bursar Office.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer, clerical, secretarial, and support services for the Cashiers Office during the day.
- Maintain professional written and verbal correspondence with current and past students; counsel and advise students regarding the importance of student financial obligations.
- Handle and credit money to accounts sent in by mail, online, received at the window or dropped by departments.
- Assist students, Utah Tech departments and the public with payments of tuition, past-due accounts, and other accounts receivable.
- Updating student accounts with contact information, removal of holds, etc.
- Reconciling, reporting and accountability for daily batches.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- High School diploma required. A minimum of one year of experience in customer service or equivalent background.
- Problems are varied, requiring analysis or interpretation. Solved using knowledge and skills.
- Strong computer skills including experience with Microsoft Office suite.
- Ability to effectively communicate with students, staff, faculty, and the public.
- Ability to work in a team environment and be approachable, friendly, and welcoming.
