"Part-time Adjunct Faculty/Developer for Artificial Intelligence Coding and Programming"

The Professional and Continuing Education department is seeking an adjunct faculty member with expertise in artificial intelligence for coding and programming in business solutions. This role involves teaching and developing online courses in the Artificial Intelligence for Business Solutions program, which consists of twelve 1-unit courses delivered in an online, self-paced format, with each course lasting four weeks and allowing six months for completion.

Job Duties and Responsibilities:

• Teaching: Delivering course content, assessing student progress, holding office hours, meeting deadlines for grades and attendance, and adhering to safety procedures and departmental standards.
• Development: Collaborating with the Learning Design Team to create courses in the learning management system and ensuring timely delivery of materials.

The position is entirely remote with an online work schedule as needed. Successful candidates must pass a background check and provide official education transcripts.

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, or a related field.
• Working knowledge of generative AI techniques.
• Minimum of two years of full-time professional experience in AI, coding, and programming.
• Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, Java, and R.
• Expertise in machine learning algorithms, data structures, AI frameworks like TensorFlow and PyTorch, and cloud computing platforms like AWS and Azure.
• Strong analytical skills, familiarity with data preprocessing and visualization, and understanding of ethical considerations in AI and data privacy.

Preferred Qualifications: Experience in Machine Learning, Deep Learning, Data Science, Business Intelligence, Research Science, Big Data, Software Engineering, Data Management, Analysis, and familiarity with the Canvas learning management system.

Salary range: $40-44 per hour. Actual compensation depends on experience and education.
