Job Summary
Kennesaw State University is now accepting applications for a pool of open rank, part-time and limited term faculty positions in the Department of World Languages and Cultures for the academic year 2025-2026. These positions are on an as needed, semester-by-semester basis. Rank is determined at the time of hiring and will be commensurate with credentials. These positions are for work to be performed in the state of Georgia.
Responsibilities
- Teaching undergraduate courses in American Sign Language, Arabic, Asian Studies, Chinese, French, German, Hebrew, Italian, Japanese, Korean, Latin, Portuguese, Russian, Spanish and/or World Language Education
Teaching assignments will be based on earned degrees and SACSCOC Faculty Credentials Guidelines.
Required Qualifications
- A minimum of a Master's degree, or the foreign equivalent, in the specific discipline or a closely related discipline is required at the time of hire.
OR
- A minimum of a Master's degree, or the foreign equivalent, in a non-related discipline with 18 graduate credit hours in the teaching discipline is required at the time of hire.
Preferred Qualifications
- Native or near native fluency in the target language(s) for language courses
- Previous experience in teaching world languages and cultures
- Experience teaching online or hybrid courses
