General Summary

Odessa College is seeking a reliable, customer-focused Part-Time Bookstore Clerk to support daily operations within the campus bookstore. This unique role combines retail sales for Wrangler Outfitters with food service support for Wrangler Kitchens Grab & Go, creating a dynamic and engaging environment.

The ideal candidate is friendly, organized, and enjoys working with both merchandise and food service in a fast-paced campus setting.

Specific Position Duties

• Provide excellent customer service to students, faculty, staff, and visitors
• Assist customers with retail purchases, including apparel, school supplies, and merchandise
• Operate point-of-sale (POS) system for both retail and food transactions
• Stock, organize, and merchandise Wrangler Outfitters products
• Restock and maintain Wrangler Kitchen Grab & Go items, ensuring freshness and presentation
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of retail and food service areas
• Assist with receiving, inventory, and product displays
• Support promotions, special events, and seasonal merchandising
• Follow all food safety and sanitation guidelines
• Work collaboratively with bookstore, Wrangler Outfitters, and Wrangler Kitchen teams

Minimum Qualifications

• Previous retail or customer service experience preferred
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to multitask between retail and food service duties
• Dependable, punctual, and detail-oriented
• Basic math and cash handling skills
• Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 25 lbs
• Flexible and willing to assist in various areas as needed

Work Hours

Part-time hours (up to 19 hours per week) Operating hours: Monday–Friday, 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM Saturday hours: 8:00 AM – 1:00 PM Schedule will vary within operating hours and may include mornings, afternoons, and occasional Saturdays
