Part-Time Driver

Bard College’s Transportation department seeks a part-time Van/Car Driver. The Van/Car Driver will be responsible for driving various shifts, including airport, train stations, and academic trips. The Driver must be able to safely operate a vehicle with Bard faculty, students, and staff on board. This is a part-time, non-exempt position with flexible hours and shifts.

Essential Duties

• Various shifts including airport, train station, and academic trips
• Possess a valid driver's license with a clean driving record
• Must be able to work occasional weekends and evenings as needed
• Safely operate a vehicle in inclement weather conditions
• Maintain a strong customer service orientation with students, faculty, and staff
• Trustworthy, professional personality, skilled in interacting positively with teens and young adults
• Must be able to build relationships with and support a staff and student body that is broadly diverse with regard to race, ethnicity, socioeconomic status, gender, gender identity, nationality, sexual orientation, and religion

Physical Requirements

• Must be able to sit for extended periods of time

Compensation: $20/hour

This salary range reflects the College's good faith and reasonable estimate of the compensation for the position at the time of the job posting.
