Part-Time Faculty: EDI 353 M001 Environmental Factors III (Fall 2025)
The School of Design within the College of Visual and Performing Arts seeks a Part-Time Instructor to teach EDI 353 Environmental Factors III, a 3-credit hour course, during the Fall semester, 2025.
Teach: Introduction to codes, fire safety, and building systems that concern mechanical, electrical and plumbing. Course emphasizes building safety systems and considerations, concepts that impact indoor environmental quality, thermal comfort, occupant wellness, and the impact of systems design on energy and resource consumption.

Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in interior design or architecture. Professional experience in the field and NCIdQ preferred (not required). Previous teaching experience is a plus but not required. Job Specific Qualifications: Professional experience in applying building codes to projects required.
Responsibilities: Teach one section of EDI 353, which meets twice a week for a total of 2 hours and 40 minutes (2:15-3:35 Mon/Wed). Attend and participate in critique and grading; keep office hours. Deliver course meeting program requirements, intended learning outcomes and CIDA criteria.
Pay Range: $1,440 - $1,700 per credit hour.
