Basic Functions

This is a continuous recruitment for an applicant pool to fill part-time faculty (up to 67%) or temporary substitute assignments on an as needed basis.

We accept applications on a continual basis.

Departments or Divisions will refer to the pool of applications on file, as needed, to fill in temporary assignments.

Applicants will remain in the pool for 12 months.

Requirements

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Master's degree in geology, geophysics, earth sciences, meteorology, oceanography, or paleontology OR bachelor's degree in geology AND master's degree in geography, physics, or geochemistry OR the equivalent.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATION:
Master's degree in geology.

Must have sensitivity to and understanding of the diverse academic, socioeconomic, cultural, disability, and ethnic backgrounds of community college students.

The number of part-time faculty hired varies from semester to semester, depending upon the needs of the department. Your application will be maintained in this part-time faculty pool for 12 months.

A complete file consists of the following:

2. Copies of transcripts showing college degrees and coursework. NOTE: Degrees must be from an accredited institution. Applicants with foreign transcripts must have transcripts evaluated for U.S. equivalency by one of the following agencies. Commission Approved Foreign Transcript Evaluating Agencies This evaluation must be completed and submitted prior to your application being included in the application pool. A copy of the evaluation must be attached to each application package. Please note there is a fee for the evaluation service.
