Part Time Faculty - History
The El Camino Community College District is now accepting applications for anticipated part-time faculty positions in the following subject area for the 2026 fall semester:
United States History to 1877
United States History since 1877
Faculty job responsibilities include the assessment of learning outcomes to improve teaching and learning in achieving El Camino College's mission of institutional effectiveness, quality educational programs, and vibrant student support services.
Faculty assignments may include morning, afternoon, evening, or weekend hours. Dual enrollment, distance education, on-line or hybrid with required distance education certification assignments are voluntary.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Master's degree in history; OR
- The equivalent
- Valid California community college instructor credential in appropriate subject issued prior to July 1, 1990
- Sensitivity to and understanding of diverse academic, socioeconomic, cultural, and ethnic backgrounds of community college students and of individuals with disabilities.
DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS
Previous college-level teaching experience.
