Description:

The Boston College School of Social Work (BCSSW) is inviting applications for Part-Time Faculty positions on an open and rolling basis.

As one of the nation's top schools of social work, BCSSW is dedicated to providing an evidence-based, skills-focused education for clinical and macro social workers. BCSSW prepares social work professionals to practice transformative, evidence-based interventions to improve the most vulnerable lives, focusing on training leaders to advance equity, justice, and inclusion in diverse communities across the globe. The MSW Program offers courses in fields-of-practice that include Afrocentric Social Work, Children, Youth & Families, Global Practice, Health, Latinx Communities, and Mental Health.

The expected per course rate (paid over 4 months) for this position ranges from $7,840-$8,860. The actual pay offered to the selected candidate will be determined based on the number of cumulative courses taught at Boston College.

Qualifications:

Teaching Opportunities in Clinical and/or Macro Practice, Policy, & Research

Qualified applicants will have expertise and experience in Clinical and/or Macro social work practice. There are a variety of course offerings in Clinical Practice that include diagnostic assessment, basic skills in clinical practice, and evidenced-based interventions for a wide range of problems among a diverse population. Elective courses cover an array of interventions including, group therapy, family therapy, couples therapy, CBT, DBT, IFS, and Solution Focused Therapy to name a few. Those with expertise, training, and practice experience in these and other interventions are encouraged to apply.

There are a variety of courses in Macro Practice that focus on basic skills in macro practice, leadership of non-profits, community organization and engagement, social innovation, and financial management. Elective courses cover a number of Macro areas, including strategic planning, planning for health and mental health services, social policy analysis, and public health social work.

Along with practice, the MSW Program offers several policy courses that focus on fields-of-practice regarding children, global practice, health and mental health, and older adults. Opportunities are also available in teaching research methods and program evaluation.
