Part-Time Faculty: School of Business - Finance
Overview
Quinnipiac University seeks highly qualified applicants who are committed to excellence in teaching for on-ground part-time faculty opportunities in the Department of Finance within the School of Business on our Mt. Carmel Campus in Hamden, CT with an expected start date of Fall 2026.
Responsibilities
- Teach assigned undergraduate or graduate courses in Finance following department guidelines.
- Prepare and present active learning course content and engaging class activities; compile, administer, and grade assessments (assignments, exams, projects) to evaluate student learning.
- Provide timely feedback, maintain records, and submit grades by specified deadlines.
- Offer student support through office hours, responsive communication, and guidance on university resources.
- Ensure course content remains current and relevant and comply with all university policies.
Education Requirements
A doctorate in Finance, Economics, or related field is preferred. Candidates who have an MBA or a master’s degree in one of these fields plus relevant work experience are also encouraged to apply.
Qualifications
- Relevant teaching or training experience, preferably at the collegiate level.
- Demonstrated expertise in financial management, financial modeling, financial analytics, or financial statement analysis.
- Strong communication skills.
- Familiarity with online teaching tools and Learning Management Systems.
- Proven ability to collaborate effectively with individuals from varied backgrounds.
