Job Description

Nevada State University actively maintains an open pool of qualified individuals to be selected on an as-needed basis by the department to fulfill part-time temporary instructional needs and applications are accepted on an ongoing basis.

Nevada State invites applications for an open pool of adjunct faculty for in-person courses in audio recording, sound design, and/or audio postproduction.

Applications will be considered on an as-needed basis determined by course availability.

Adjunct faculty members are compensated at the rate of $1,000 per credit hour. Courses are typically 3 credits.

Required Qualifications:

  • Master's degree in film or audio production, or a closely related field.
  • Evidence of a strong commitment to teaching, educational excellence, and mentoring undergraduate students.
  • Eligibility to work in the United States without sponsorship (Nevada State does not sponsor employment-related visas).

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Demonstrated commitment to active learning and innovative teaching.
  • Previous teaching experience.
  • Previous production experience.
  • Familiarity with Adobe Audition, audio recording hardware, and related equipment and software.
