"Part-Time Instructor Pool - Biological Sciences"

Provide quality instructions, create and maintain an environment which emphasizes teaching and learning and encourages free discussion of ideas, interests and issues. Primary duties of part-time faculty members are related to curriculum and teaching; the assignment is divided between lecture and lab classes as determined by the department. Part-Time instructional faculty are required to be available to students outside of class.

The starting credit part-time faculty rate is $102.90 per hour for lecture and $82.33 per hour for lab, or $107.87 per hour for lecture and $86.30 per hour for lab with a doctorate.

Minimum qualifications include a Master's in any biological science, or a Bachelor's in any biological science and a Master's in biochemistry, biophysics, or marine science, or equivalent, along with evidence of sensitivity to diverse academic, socioeconomic, cultural, disability, gender identity, sexual orientation, and ethnic backgrounds of community college students, faculty, and staff.
