Part-time Lecturer, Science and Business Courses for Biotechnology Graduate Programs - Portland
Individuals are sought to teach graduate courses in science and technology relevant to the biotechnology field, specifically to biopharmaceuticals, and graduate courses that broadly educate how biotechnology and bioscience companies bring early-stage discoveries through development, regulatory approval, and commercialization.
Responsibilities include reviewing and learning key teaching points within existing instructor guides, supporting high-quality teaching through preparation of lectures, facilitating discussions, providing timely grading and feedback, and adhering to Northeastern's policies. Part-time instructors work under the direction of the director with support from a faculty lead and hold office hours as appropriate.
Qualifications: PhD in biotechnology or a closely related field and/or a DBA, MBA or equivalent graduate degree plus at least five years of work experience in biotechnology, biopharma, pharmaceuticals or related industry. Proven platform skills required, as is an open, supportive personal style. Prior experience in a diverse higher education institution preferred.
