The Department of Physical Therapy at the University of Texas Rio Grande Valley is inviting applications for a part-time faculty in the CAPTE Candidate Doctoral Physical Therapy Program. This is a solicitation for a part-time senior lecturer. Faculty rank and salary will be commensurate with the applicant's experience and qualifications and based on established university and department standards. The start date for the position is 15 June 2026. The position will require course development and instruction being provided in the summer, fall and spring academic semesters.
The successful candidate will develop and teach coursework in physical therapy management of the pediatric patient, mentor physical therapy students, and participate in professional and community service.
We seek applicants who are dedicated to serving The University of Texas Rio Grande Valley's student body as a senior lecturer beginning in the 2025-2026 academic year.
Minimum Qualifications:
All applicants must hold a doctoral degree in physical therapy (DPT or tDPT) from an accredited institution and be licensed as a physical therapist in the state of Texas. The successful candidate must meet the following requirements:
- Demonstrate evidence of professional or community service activities / engagement
- Demonstrate contemporary expertise in clinical practice areas associated with their planned teaching areas (i.e. post-professional certifications, continuing education, etc.)
