Job Summary:
The Department of Otolaryngology - Head & Neck Surgery is seeking a full-time pediatric otolaryngologist for its pediatric practice at Children's Hospital Colorado, located in Colorado Springs, Colorado. This position will also be responsible for leadership and coordination of the cleft lip and palate program as the Cleft Medical Director for Colorado Springs. This position will work directly with the cleft team leadership at the Metro Denver Children's Hospital of Colorado as well.
Key Responsibilities:
The Department of Otolaryngology - Head & Neck Surgery at the University of Colorado School of Medicine's mission is to provide outstanding, cutting-edge clinical care, research, and state-of-the-art training. The Department is seeking a board-eligible or board-qualified pediatric otolaryngologist to join the full-time faculty. Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:
- Clinical/OR service in the field of Pediatric Otolaryngology, with the primary location for this position being Children's Hospital Colorado/Briargate Outpatient Facility in Colorado Springs.
- Lead the cleft lip and palate team in Colorado Springs, fostering collaboration among various specialists including surgeons, speech therapists, psychologists, and nutritionists. They will also partner with the Cleft Lip/Palate team at the Metro Denver campus, headed by Pediatric Otolaryngologist Christopher Discolo, MD.
- Faculty expectation for regular academic/scholarship/research activities toward academic promotion
Work Location: This position is expected to work onsite in Colorado Springs, CO.

Qualifications:
Minimum Qualifications: Applicants must meet minimum qualifications at the time of hire.
This is an open rank position and could be categorized as Assistant Professor or Associate Professor based on experience and qualifications as indicated below:
Assistant Professor:
- Doctor of Medicine degree
- Board Certified or Board Qualified in Otolaryngology - Head & Neck Surgery + If Board Qualified, must receive Board Certification within 2 years of hire.
- Board Eligible in Complex Pediatric Otolaryngology - Head & Neck Surgery
- Fellowship trained in Pediatric Otolaryngology - Head & Neck Surgery
- Ability to obtain a Colorado medical license
Associate Professor:
- Doctor of Medicine degree
- Board Certified in Otolaryngology - Head & Neck Surgery
- Board Eligible in Complex Pediatric Otolaryngology - Head & Neck Surgery
- Fellowship trained in Pediatric Otolaryngology - Head & Neck Surgery
- 4+ years of experience at rank or equivalent experience
- Ability to obtain a Colorado medical license

Anticipated Pay Range:
HIRING RANGE:
Assistant Professor: $275,000 - $315,000.
Associate Professor: $285,000 - $325,000.
We note that the ranges below reflect the base (fixed) salary ranges in alignment with AAMC Benchmarks by each rank (~25th percentile AAMC). Faculty total compensation, which is variable based on production and academic output, typically ranges between the median and 75th percentile AAMC with opportunity to exceed beyond the 75th.
