Pediatrician - Inpatient and Outpatient Settings (Per Diem)

UCR Health is a team of physicians, specialists and healthcare professionals dedicated to improving the health of Inland Southern California residents and families by bringing health home to our communities. Established alongside the School of Medicine at the University of California, Riverside, UCR Health is growing to meet the healthcare needs of the region - bringing innovative, culturally sensitive medical care to our communities. Our patient-centered primary care and specialty services deliver university-based healthcare excellence and innovation to the communities where we live, work and play.

The Pediatrics department is seeking physicians in inpatient, outpatient, and mixed settings clinical practices in Riverside, San Bernardino, and Coachella Valley at UCR Health clinics and affiliate sites. Assistant Physicians provide patient care activities under medical supervision where more difficult and complex cases are referred to Associate Physicians.

This is a Per Diem appointment. Per Diem Physicians are hourly paid appointees whose primary purpose is clinical service. These appointments have a variable schedule and cannot exceed 43%. These appointments may be on a pre-scheduled basis or as needed on a day-to-day basis as determined by the University. Depending on years of experience and board certification a budgeted pay scale is up to $120/hour.

Experience: UCR has three levels of physicians; all levels require completion of medical residency and are distinguished by board certification status and years of experience. Junior (Assistant Physician): requires board eligibility and must successfully pass the board exam within 18 months of hire. Mid (Associate Physician): requires board certification and must have a minimum of 1 year of experience post internship/residency. Experience in inpatient and outpatient settings.
