The Opportunity
Are you an experienced HR Advisor looking to deepen your ER capability and grow your career within a large organisation undergoing meaningful transformation? This is a fantastic opportunity to step into a role where you’ll work across diverse campuses, partner closely with leaders, and be part of shaping positive cultural change.
Purpose of the Role
As our People & Culture Advisor, you’ll be a trusted partner supporting the P&C Manager and P&C Business Partners across our campuses including Otara, Manukau, Mt Albert and Waitakere. With your own portfolio you’ll play a key role in delivering day‑to‑day HR support, including managing some ER cases end‑to‑end in a confident and professional and timely manner.
In this role, you will:
Provide timely, high‑quality HR and ER support to leaders and staff
Manage low‑level ER matters independently, while working alongside Business Partners on more complex cases
Coach leaders on P&C policies, processes, and best practice
Support the rollout of P&C initiatives and contribute to culture, change, and transformation projects
Collaborate closely with the wider People, Culture & Wellbeing team to deliver consistent, people‑centred outcomes

About You
You’re an established HR Advisor who brings maturity, confidence, and a solutions‑focused approach to your work. You enjoy taking ownership of ER matters and know the process well, building trust with leaders, and supporting continuous improvement across the organisation.
You will bring:
Experience & Qualifications
3+ years’ experience in an HR Advisor or similar generalist role
A relevant degree in HR or business
Strong working knowledge of NZ employment legislation
Full NZ driver licence (travel required across Auckland campuses)
Skills & Attributes
Confident managing basic to intermediate ER/IR matters
Strong written, verbal, and influencing skills
Able to build trusted relationships with leaders and staff quickly
High attention to detail, confidentiality, and professionalism
Experience with HRIS systems (SuccessFactors or PeopleSoft an advantage)
A genuine commitment to equity, tikanga, and culturally responsive practice
