Personnel and Payroll Coordinator
As the Personnel and Payroll Coordinator, you will provide a variety of complex coordination support to the Elson S. Floyd College of Medicine Business Services team. You will exercise independent judgment to make decisions and are authorized to take initiative to perform responsibilities with discretion. In this role, your responsibilities include but are not limited to analyzing requests to determine appropriate course of action, establishing and maintaining comprehensive recordkeeping systems, identifying problems and proposing resolutions, performing bi-weekly payroll reconciliation process (PEARS), inventory management, purchasing card verifications and support of employee onboarding and offboarding. In this role you will also provide guidance, generates reports, act on information identified in reporting and problem resolution to both external and internal partners.
In this role you will demonstrate a strict level of confidentiality in all matters, and demonstrate attention to detail and accuracy in work performed, ability to think critically to identify problems and ability to utilize established resources to determine appropriate course of action. The College of Medicine Business Services team in the Personnel and Payroll team supports all ESFCOM employees, with a current headcount of 900+.

Required Qualifications for Program Coordinator:
High school graduation or equivalent AND two years of experience in the program specialty OR equivalent education/experience. Additional requirements: Two (2) years demonstrated experience in personnel or payroll related administrative functions or related equivalent education/experience; Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing; Demonstrated knowledge and skill proficiency of administrative systems; Demonstrated ability to interact effectively with persons of varying levels of responsibility and experience; Working knowledge of Microsoft Office (including Excel, Word).
Preferred Qualifications:
Knowledge of Workday; Knowledge of WSU Business Policies and Procedures; Knowledge of WSU College of Medicine Processes and Procedures; Experience working in Higher Education, local or state agency, or equivalent.
Required Qualifications for Program Assistant:
High school graduation or equivalent AND two years of full-time clerical experience OR equivalent education/experience. Additional requirements: Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing; Demonstrated knowledge and skill proficiency of administrative systems; Demonstrated ability to interact effectively with persons of varying levels of responsibility and experience; Working knowledge of Microsoft Office (including Excel, Word).
Salary:
Program Coordinator: $3,665 - $4,882 monthly; Program Assistant: $3,495 - $4,653 monthly.
Location:
Spokane, Washington, on-site at the Spokane Health Sciences campus.
