Job profile:
Your responsibilities:
- Biomechanics – Biomechanical research focusing on walking and running biomechanics in alpine environments
- Independent research in the field of biomechanics in alpine environments
- Independent teaching in the field of biomechanics; research-led teaching in the field of alpine sports and/or biomechanics and/or sports technology, including preparation, follow-up and examination duties
- Contributing to research activities within the Biomechanics research area; participating in joint research projects; assisting with the supervision of students, including the supervision of Bachelor's theses
- Training and professional development; participation in conferences and congresses; further training
- Administrative duties; assisting with the administration of the research division; organising academic events
Your profile:
- a completed Master's, Magister or Diplom degree in a relevant subject
- In-depth knowledge of biomechanical modelling and simulation (e.g. in OpenSim)
- solid general programming skills (e.g. in Matlab, Python)
- Experience with motion capture systems (e.g. Vicon, XSens)
- Experience in research into gait and/or running biomechanics
- Experience with muscle function diagnostics (e.g. EMG, ultrasound) would be an advantage
- Very good command of English
- Ability to work as part of a team
- Ability to work independently
- Communication skills
- Ability to work under pressure
- Please include a written outline of your proposed doctoral thesis (max. 5 pages) with your application
- Please also specify which modules from the Sports Science curriculum you would be able to teach
