Job profile:
Your responsibilities:
- Development of methods for the target identification of natural products
- Independent research in the field of your doctoral thesis
- Independent teaching
- Contribution to teaching
- Training and professional development
- Administrative duties
Your profile:
- A completed Master's or Diplom degree with a specialisation in Pharmaceutical Sciences
- Knowledge and understanding of the mechanisms of action of medicines containing natural substances, particularly medicinal plants
- Experience in the analysis of historical pharmaceutical formulations using bioinformatics methods, combined with the testing of these preparations both analytically and in terms of their mode of action would be an advantage. In addition to experience in the field of historical natural products, experience in target identification of natural products is required, particularly in methods of chemical biology (affinity chromatography, yeast 3-hybrid), with a focus on method development (DNA libraries)
- Experience in cell culture work, including cloning, is required
- Good command of German and English
- Please include a written proposal outlining your PhD research project with your application (max. 5 pages)
- Communication skills, ability to work in a team, ability to work independently
