“Iuliu Hațieganu” University of Medicine and Pharmacy Cluj Napooca organize a competition regarding the nomination within the project PN-IV-P6-6.1-CoEx-2024-0141 entitled “Establishment of the Romanian Center of Excellence in Clinical Neuroscience NeuRox”, Financing Contract 16 CoEx/27.02.2026 of the following vacant position:

• Scientific Researcher III - 1 post
  • Working hours (maximum 16 hours/month)
  • Fixed period – 02.11.2026-01.11.2027 (employment formalities will be carried out only after the validation of the recruitment and selection by the funding authority)
  • Type of competition tests: Analysis of the competition application (eliminatory); Interview
• PhD Researcher - 1 post
  • Working hours (maximum 84 hours/month)
  • Fixed period – 02.11.2026-01.11.2027 (employment formalities will be carried out only after the validation of the recruitment and selection by the funding authority)
  • Type of competition tests: Analysis of the competition application (eliminatory); Interview

The competition will be held as follows:

• submission of competition application during the period: 05.10.2026-09.10.2026, 3pm
• selection of documents on 12.10.2026
• submission and resolution of appeals regarding the stage of submission of application: 13.10.2026
• interview on 19.10.2026
• communication of interview results: 20.10.2026
• submission and resolution of appeals regarding the interview stage: 21.10.2026
• communication of final results: 22.10.2026

Requirements

Research Field: Medical sciences » Medicine

Education Level: Bachelor Degree or equivalent

Skills/Qualifications

• has Romanian citizenship or that of other EU Member States or states belonging to the European Economic Area or the right to work on the territory of Romania;
• knows the Romanian language, written and spoken;
• has a state of health appropriate to the position for which he/she is applying;
• meets the study and, if applicable, seniority requirements or other specific requirements for the position;
• has not been convicted of any crime.

Specific Requirements

• Graduate of 6 years of long-term higher education in the field of Medicine;
• In vivo research experience is an advantage.
• Author/co-author of at least 1 scientific article written in a foreign language of international circulation (English/French) is an advantage;
• Experience in in vivo experimental models;
• Experience in experimental studies using animal models (development of animal models for neurological pathology, including the study of changes induced by traumatic brain injury or intraparenchymal haemorrhage during menopause);
• Experience using the BIOPAC MP200 platform for studying visual evoked potentials and EEG;
• Experience developing animal models of Parkinson’s and Alzheimer’s diseases;
• Ability to perform statistical analysis of experimental data;
