About the School / Service

The Strategic Development and Delivery directorate brings colleagues together from across the University into one function to form service areas that includes Strategy & Performance; Insights & Decision Support; Portfolio & Benefits; and Change & Improvement. The aim is to combine our specialist expertise and sector knowledge to help deliver our strategy ‘Vision 2028’ and beyond.

About the Job

As Planning and Performance Manager you will have the voice and the remit to inspire, influence and make a real mark on the University in the years ahead. You could soon be playing a significant role at the heart of a supportive and dynamic team that’s committed to helping University of East London achieve the ambitious goals set out in our strategic plan Vision 2028.

You will be a Business Partner to our Schools and professional service teams across UEL. You will be a key individual in our Business Planning Rounds, as well as the development and maintenance of our performance monitoring for senior colleagues. As part of the Planning and Performance team, you will support our portfolio management activities in student number planning and provide support on regulatory frameworks and inform decision making that scans the operating environment to seize opportunities and more.

To succeed, you will be confident in influencing and guiding senior colleagues on data-driven performance discussions. You will have knowledge on a broad range of university topics that include business planning, teaching quality and research quality. What’s more, in keeping with our progressive culture, you will need to be a strategic thinker that thrives on new ideas to drive our teams forward.
