About the Role
The Research Grants and Contracts team within Research Services plays a key role in supporting this vision through the end-to-end management and administration of research grants, major initiatives and research contracts.
The Post Award Officer provides post-award administration and support for funded research grants and projects across a range of schemes. The role ensures funding and associated agreements are established, reporting requirements are met, and any variations or transfers are managed in a timely manner.
The position also contributes to improving processes that support the effective monitoring, tracking and reporting of awarded research projects, while providing advice on budget development and revisions. Reporting to the Manager, Research Grants, the role works closely with teams across Research Services and the University to support the successful establishment and delivery of funded research projects.

About You
To be suitable for this role you will need to have experience in the below key accountabilities:
- Demonstrated experience in project coordination, administration and post award support preferably in research grants administration or other complex funding programs. This includes reporting and variations
- Experience and/or training in the administration of national competitive grant schemes in a tertiary institution, research institute or funding agency
- Demonstrated high level written and verbal communication skills including the ability to draft correspondence and information guides, and to deal effectively with staff at different levels within the University and externally
- Demonstrated organisational skills with the ability to plan large administrative projects and prioritise tasks, anticipate requirements and work to tight deadlines
Qualifications
A degree with subsequent relevant experience or an equivalent combination of relevant experience and/ or education and training
