"Post Doctoral Associate (Lupoli lab)"

Applications are solicited for an individual to be appointed as a postdoctoral associate under the supervision of Prof. Tania Lupoli. The research will focus on development of chemical biology probes to study incorporation of sugars into cellular glycans.

The project focuses on design, synthesis and use of sugar probes to study incorporation into cellular glycans and interactions that occur on cell surfaces. This position requires expertise in organic synthesis and small molecule chemical analysis (NMR and M/S), with a preference for candidates who have experience in biochemistry, chemical biology and/or cell-based analysis. Candidates should demonstrate a proven ability to conduct independent research, with excellent laboratory skills and experience designing, executing, analyzing, and publishing scientific studies. Strong writing, presentation and mentorship skills are also preferred.

The terms of employment, which would be a year, with a possibility of renewal, include a competitive salary and other benefits. Applications will be reviewed on a rolling basis, and candidates will be considered until the position is filled.

In compliance with NYC's Pay Transparency Act, this position's annual base salary range is $62,500.00 – $64,063. New York University considers factors such as (but not limited to) the specific grant funding and the terms of the research grant when extending an offer.

Applicants must have a Ph.D. in Chemistry, Chemical Biology or Biochemistry and no more than 1 year of postdoctoral training.
