Post-Doctoral Associate
About the Job
Duties:
- Conduct research and provide technical assistance to the PI, students, and trainees on data analyses related to food animal disease epidemiology. (50%)
- Collect and organize data for research activities. (10%)
- Collaborate with the PI in the generation and testing of research hypotheses and data analysis, writing of papers, grants, reports, and preparation of presentations and lectures. (10%)
- Attend, participate, or present at laboratory meetings, seminars, graduate and undergraduate lectures, and conferences as needed. (10%)
- Perform miscellaneous office duties as assigned by the PI including, but not limited to, the organization and coordination of meetings and projects. (10%)
- Maintain frequent communication with other faculty and collaborators, including, if required traveling to international destinations to meet with collaborators and collect data (10%).
Qualifications
Required Qualifications:
PhD in Veterinary Epidemiology or related area and be familiar with R/Stata.
Preferred Qualifications:
DVM degree
Excellent written and oral communication skills, ability to work independently but also in a team environment.
Experience working in sequences
Pay and Benefits
Pay Range: $56,484 - $61,008; depending on education/qualifications/experience
Time Appointment Category: 75%-100% Appointment (If job description above does not specify appointment or expected weekly hours, assume a 100% appointment.)
