"Post-doctoral Fellow/Senior Research Assistant in the Division of Health Economics, Policy and Management, School of Public Health"

Applications are invited for appointment as Post-doctoral Fellow/Senior Research Assistant in the Division of Health Economics, Policy and Management, School of Public Health(Ref.: 533638), to commence as soon as possible for a one-year temporary term contract, with the possibility of renewal subject to satisfactory performance and funding availability.

Applicants should possess a Ph.D. degree in public health, health economics, biostatistics, or a related quantitative discipline. Those with a Master’s degree with at least 1 year's post-qualification experience may be considered for appointment as Senior Research Assistant. They must be proficient in data analysis using statistical or computer modelling software, such as R. They should have an excellent command of written and spoken English and a demonstrated record of publishing academic research papers. They should be organized, self-motivated, and able to work independently as well as in a multidisciplinary team.

The appointee will participate in health economics and health policy research. Projects may include (i) evaluation of health-related interventions and RCTs, (ii) discrete choice experiments on health insurance and other issues, (iii) analysing health system expenditure, and (iv) tobacco policy modelling. The appointee will process and analyse data, prepare manuscript and reports, supervise junior research staff, assist in the development of new research initiatives, and perform other research-related duties as assigned.
