The Singhvi Lab (Basic Sciences Division, Fred Hutch) is looking for a Postdoctoral Fellow to join a diverse, innovative, and collaborative research team. The Singhvi Lab aims to understand molecular mechanisms by which glia, which are about half the cells in the nervous system, impact sensory perception, neuron shape and physiology, neural circuit activity, and animal behavior. We aim to map glia-neuron interactions at a molecular and mechanistic level, in health and disease.

Responsibilities
The Post-Doctoral Research Fellow works independently and under the direction of the Principal Investigator, Dr. Aakanksha Singhvi. Responsibilities for this Post-Doctoral Research Fellow will include designing, performing, and analyzing experiments, troubleshooting technical issues, and mentoring junior lab members. The successful candidate will also be expected to contribute to the preparation of manuscripts and grant proposals.
Qualifications
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
- Ph.D. degree in C. elegans neuroscience or related field.
- Prior laboratory experience with publication track record.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Expertise in organelle biology preferred.
- Assay development experience preferred.
The annual base salary range for this position is from $80,172 to $95,014, and pay offered will be based on experience and qualifications.
