Offer Description
The NOVA National School of Public Health, NOVA University Lisbon, has opened an offer position for 1 Research Fellowship, within the scope of the project LENSES - Health Literacy ENhancement for Healthy Communities through Social Marketing-Informed Equitable Strategies in Lifelong Cardiovascular Disease Prevention (BI_LENSES_26_1), funded by the European Commission, under the following conditions:
Scientific area: Health Sciences, Health Promotion or related areas.
Requirements:
- PhD in the scientific area of Health Sciences, Health Promotion or related areas;
- Relevant scientific track record in Health Sciences or Health Promotion;
- Experience in managing and implementing health research projects, with a focus on health promotion and disease prevention among vulnerable populations;
- Experience in managing and implementing health intervention projects with an evaluation component;
- Experience in collecting and analysing quantitative and qualitative data;
- Written and oral communication skills in Portuguese and English;
- Immediate availability.
Preferential factors:
- Experience in initiatives focused on skills development;
- Participation in international networks and/or projects;
- Co-authorship of publications in indexed journals;
- Organizational skills and autonomy.
Work plan:
- Review of scientific evidence and health policies related to prevention of cardiovascular diseases and diabetes across the life course, considering the different levels of prevention and relevant health determinants;
- Operational preparation of the project in its ethical, conceptual, methodological, organizational components;
- Support in the management and organization of project activities;
- Mobilization, engagement and coordination with relevant stakeholders within the scope of the project;
- Support in the organization, planning and implementation of the fieldwork;
- Collection and analysis of quantitative and qualitative data (e.g., surveys, interviews, focus groups);
- Support in drafting technical reports, scientific articles, working papers, and other scientific and technical outputs resulting from the project;
- Participation in meetings, missions and activities of the LENSES consortium, as well as in dissemination and knowledge transfer activities.
Applicable Legislation and Regulations: Statute of Scientific Research Fellow, approved by Law nr. 40/2004, of August 18, amended and published by Decree-Law nr. 202/2012, of August 27, amended by Decree-Law nr. 233/2012, of October 29, by Law nr. 12/2013, of January 29, by Decree-Law nr. 89/2013 of July 9 and by Decree-Law nr. 123/2019, of August 28 and the rules established in the Research Fellow Regulations of NOVA University Lisbon.
Workplace and scientific supervision: The work will be carried out at NOVA National School of Public Health, NOVA University Lisbon, under the scientific supervision of Professor Sónia Dias.
Duration of the Research Fellowship(s): The duration of the research fellowship will be for 6 months, starting in November of 2026. The research fellowship can be renewed up to the maximum provided for in the Research Fellowship Regulations of NOVA University Lisbon.
Monthly maintenance allowance: The amount of the fellowship is 1 901,00 € (may have a higher value, according to the technical and scientific skills demonstrated), according to the values for research fellowships awarded by the FCT, I.P. Research Fellowship Regulations. In addition to this amount, there is the payment of personal accident insurance and the payment of voluntary social security.
Selection methods: In the first phase, candidates admitted to the call will be selected based on compliance with the admission requirements. The admitted candidates will be ranked according to their curriculum evaluation (100%). If necessary, an individual interview will be conducted with the candidates placed in the top three positions of the ranked list. In this case, the percentage weighting of the selection methods will be: Curriculum evaluation (70%) and Interview (30%). The candidate who occupies the first place on the ranked list, with a score equal to or higher than 16 points, will be selected.

c) Documents proving that the candidate meets the conditions required for the respective type of fellowship, namely proof of academic qualifications required for the type of fellowship, if applicable.

A Escola Nacional de Saúde Pública da Universidade NOVA de Lisboa (ENSP NOVA) abriu concurso para a atribuição de 1 (uma) Bolsa de Investigação Pós-Doutoral, no âmbito do projeto LENSES - Health Literacy ENhancement for Healthy Communities through Social Marketing-Informed Equitable Strategies in Lifelong Cardiovascular Disease Prevention (BI_LENSES_26_1), financiado pela Comissão Europeia, nas seguintes condições:
Área Científica: Ciências da Saúde, Promoção da Saúde e áreas afins.
Requisitos:
- Doutoramento na área científica das Ciências da Saúde, Promoção da Saúde ou áreas afins;
- Possuir currículo científico relevante na área das Ciências da Saúde ou Promoção da Saúde;
- Experiência na gestão e implementação de projetos de investigação na área da saúde, com enfoque na promoção da saúde e prevenção da doença em populações vulneráveis;
- Experiência na gestão e implementação em projetos de intervenção em saúde com componente de avaliação;
- Experiência na recolha e análise de dados quantitativos e qualitativos;
- Capacidade de comunicação e de expressão escrita e oral nas línguas portuguesa e inglesa;
- Disponibilidade imediata.
Fatores preferenciais:
- Experiência em iniciativas com foco no desenvolvimento de competências;
- Participação em redes e/ou projetos internacionais;
- Coautoria de publicações em revistas indexadas;
- Capacidade de organização e autonomia.
Plano de trabalhos:
- Revisão da evidência científica e das políticas de saúde relativas à prevenção das doenças cardiovasculares e da diabetes ao longo do curso de vida, considerando os diferentes níveis de prevenção e os determinantes de saúde relevantes;
- Preparação operacional do projeto nas suas diferentes componentes éticas, conceptuais, metodológicas e organizativas;
- Apoio à gestão e coordenação das atividades do projeto;
- Mobilização, envolvimento e articulação com atores relevantes no âmbito do projeto;
- Apoio à organização, planeamento e implementação do trabalho de campo;
- Recolha e análise de dados quantitativos e qualitativos (e.g. inquéritos por questionário, entrevistas, grupos focais);
- Apoio à redação de relatórios técnicos, artigos científicos, documentos de trabalho e outros produtos científicos e técnicos resultantes do projeto;
- Participação em reuniões, missões e atividades do consórcio LENSES, bem como em ações de disseminação e transferência de conhecimento.

Local de trabalho e orientação científica: O trabalho será desenvolvido na Escola Nacional de Saúde Pública da Universidade NOVA de Lisboa, sob a orientação científica sob a orientação científica da Professora Doutora Sónia Dias.
Duração da(s) bolsa(s): O contrato de bolsa terá a duração de 6 (seis) meses, com início previsto em novembro de 2026. O contrato de bolsa poderá ser renovado até ao máximo previsto no Regulamento de Bolsas de Investigação da Universidade NOVA de Lisboa.
Valor do subsídio de manutenção mensal: O montante da bolsa corresponde a 1 901,00 € (podendo ser superior, de acordo com as competências técnicas e científicas), conforme tabela de valores de subsídios mensais de manutenção, constantes do Regulamento de Bolsas de Investigação Científica da FCT, I.P.Acresce, a este valor, o pagamento do Seguro de Acidentes Pessoais e o pagamento do Seguro Social Voluntário.
Métodos de seleção: Numa primeira fase será feita a seleção dos candidatos admitidos a concurso com base no cumprimento dos requisitos de admissão. Os candidatos admitidos a concurso serão ordenados de acordo com a sua avaliação curricular (100%). Caso se considere necessário será realizada uma entrevista individual aos candidatos situados nos três primeiros lugares da lista ordenada. Neste caso, a ponderação percentual dos métodos usados na seleção será: Avaliação curricular (70%) e Entrevista (30%). Será selecionado o candidato que ocupar o primeiro lugar da lista de ordenação dos candidatos, cuja nota seja igual ou superior a 16 valores.
