Suspension of Drexel University's Contribution into 403(b) Retirement Plan: As communicated on Oct. 10, Drexel University is suspending its contributions to employee retirement plans for calendar year 2025 as part of its multi-year plan to build financial resilience. Drexel is continuing to monitor the situation and will share updates as they become available for calendar year 2026.

Job Summary: The person hired for this position will develop and run translational research involving microinjection of novel compounds into the brain of rats and study associated behaviors relevant to psychostimulant use disorders. Furthermore, this position also involves the study of activity dependent gene expression in the brain of rats and will involve dissection, staining, and imaging. It will also involve writing grant proposals and manuscripts.

Essential Functions: Surgeries, Microinjection and behaviors, Gene expression studies, Manuscript and grant writing.

Required Qualifications: Minimum of a PhD or Doctorate in Pharmacology, Minimum of 5 years of experience, Experience in neurochemical assays and rat surgery is required.

Physical Demands: Typically sitting at a desk/table, Typically standing, walking, Typically bending, crouching, stooping, Lifting demands ≤ 25lbs.
