Context of Job

Conduct research in theoretical particle physics and collaborate with the theoretical physics group

Major Responsibilities

• Investigate new approaches to searching for physics beyond the Standard Model including:
  • New ideas for probing theoretically motivated dark matter candidates
  • New probes of early universe cosmology
  • Understanding constraints on new forces from structure formation
• Collaborate closely with research group members at Delaware and Johns Hopkins University, colleagues, and the supervisor to review and refine research strategies.
• Prepare and organize materials for research papers, author papers, and submit findings to scientific journals.
• Create presentations, posters, and materials for conferences and scientific meetings.
• Assist in the supervision and mentorship of graduate students.
• Support the evaluation and discussion of other research groups' work through analysis of published studies and conference presentations.
• Help shape and refine research goals within the group.

Qualifications

• PhD in Physics or related fields.
