Post Doctoral Scholar
The Center for Cognitive and Behavioral Brain Imaging (CCBBI) invites applications for a Post Doctoral Scholar position that will be based in the Department of Psychology. CCBBI is a dedicated research facility with state-of-the-art tools that allow research teams to investigate brain structure, function, and causal mechanisms with robust and innovative methodology. It has supported numerous federally funded research studies spanning topic areas that cover both basic and translational science. The postd doctoral scholar will work closely with their faculty PI to choose their research topic of interest. The successful candidate will also be involved in dissemination of the labs work through peer-reviewed manuscripts, conference presentations, and outreach to the public. This is a two-year term position with Year 2 renewable based on performance and availability of funds.
Required Education:
- Doctorate (Academic) with a Major in psychology, neuroscience, or a closely related field
Required Qualifications:
- Ph.D. in psychology, neuroscience, or a closely related field by the time of appointment.
- Demonstrated record of peer-reviewed publications, including first-author manuscripts.
- Strong scientific writing skills with evidence of manuscript preparation and submission.
- Experience presenting research at national or international conferences.
- Demonstrated ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a team-based research environment.
- Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with neuroimaging data analysis (e.g., MRI preprocessing, statistical modeling, familiarity with tools such as FSL, SPM, AFNI, or similar platforms).
- Proficiency in statistical programming (e.g., R, Python, MATLAB).
