Post Doctoral Scholar
The Geodesy Division in the School of Earth Sciences at The Ohio State University (OSU) invites applications from qualified candidates to fill a Post Doctoral Scholar position. A successful candidate for this full-time position will work under the supervision of Dr. Demian Gomez to develop GNSS trajectory models that account for temporally correlated noise and produce co- and post-seismic deformation models for the various earthquakes. Responsibilities include analyzing GNSS time series, evaluating the Least Squares Collocation time-series technique for separating GNSS data white and flicker noise, evaluation of the characteristic decay timescales of post seismic displacements, development of new software, and dissemination of results. A successful candidate will also be able to explore their own research interests related to geodetic time series analysis and earthquake deformation modeling. We seek a highly motivated individual with a record of published collaborative research, and a strong background in GNSS data processing techniques, statistical methods for time-series modeling, and crustal deformation studies. Experience in time-series analysis is essential.
