Offer Description

The competition is open to individuals who meet the requirements specified in Article 113 of the Act of 20 July 2018 – the Law on Higher Education and Science (Journal of Laws of 2024, item 1571, as amended) and meet the following eligibility criteria:

1. postdoctoral degree in medical and health sciences,
2. have the right to practice medicine,
3. have the qualifications to teach classes in the field of orthopedics, traumatology, and rehabilitation in the medical field,
4. have documented experience in conducting undergraduate medical education,
5. have documented practical experience outside of higher education,
6. have a track record of scientific and publication achievements in the field of medical and health sciences,
7. declare their primary place of employment at the Univeristy of Applied Sciences in Nowy Sącz.

For foreign applicants, fluency in spoken and written Polish is required.

Responsibilities:

• teaching a total of 210 hours of full-time and part-time studies,
• conducting scientific activities in accordance with the represented scientific discipline, including research, development work, and professional development,
• organizational work for the University of Applied Sciences in Nowy Sącz, particularly at the Faculty of Medicine and Health Sciences.

Specific Requirements

Employment of an academic teacher in the research and teaching staff group under a fixed-term, full-time employment contract for the 2026/2027 academic year (from October 1, 2026 to September 30, 2027).

Eligibility criteria

Candidates entering the competition are required to submit the following documents:

1. a job application,
2. a declaration of consent to the processing of personal data (Appendix 1),
3. a personal questionnaire for the applicant (Appendix 2),
4. a curriculum vitae,
5. copies (photocopies) of diplomas confirming their education (originals available for review before signing the contract),
6. documents confirming professional experience,
7. a list of scientific publications,
8. a declaration of compliance with the requirements of Article 113 of the Law on Higher Education and Science (Appendix 3),
9. copies of certificates and additional attestations,
10. a declaration of receipt of information about the internal procedure for reporting violations of law and taking follow-up actions at the University of Applied Sciences in Nowy Sącz (Appendix 4),
11. a declaration that the University of Applied Sciences in Nowy Sącz will be the primary place of employment within the meaning of the Law on Higher Education and Science (Appendix 5).

Documents must be signed by hand or bear a certified electronic signature.

Selection process

Documents should be submitted in person or sent to the University's address: Academy of Applied Sciences in Nowy Sącz, ul. Staszica 1, 33-300 Nowy Sącz, General Secretariat, room 01. The envelope should be marked "Konkurs nr 16 na stanowisko profesora uczelni (k/m) na WLZ" or sent to kadry@ans-ns.edu.pl with the subject line: "Konkurs nr 16 na stanowisko profesora uczelni (k/m) na WLZ." The deadline for submitting documents is September 1, 2026 (the date of receipt at the University will be decisive). The competition results will be announced by September 8, 2026. Information on the results, along with the justification, will be published in the University's Public Information Bulletin and on the website of the Minister of Science and Higher Education.

Additional comments

The selection committee reserves the right to conduct interviews with candidates who meet the required qualification criteria. Applications that do not meet the formal requirements or are submitted after the deadline will not be considered. The selection process may be invalidated without providing a reason. The results of the selection process do not constitute employment of the candidate; they only constitute a recommendation to the Rector in this regard. The Rector makes the final decision regarding employment.
