Postdoc Researcher on the Project: Determining Perspectives in Youth Protection
Job Summary: The position involves conducting research on determining perspectives in youth protection, focusing on how to decide the best living situation for children placed out of home. The research aims to develop a valid, reliable, and transparent method involving parents and youth.
Responsibilities: Set up and coordinate three sub-studies including research with experts, literature review, and interviews with stakeholders; obtain ethical approval; maintain contact with organizations; co-write peer-reviewed articles; translate findings for professionals; guide students and junior researchers; and potentially give presentations or workshops.
Qualifications and Requirements: A PhD or nearly completed PhD in relevant fields such as pedagogical sciences, psychology, or youth law; experience in qualitative and quantitative research, data collection, and management; strong social skills, proactivity, and sensitivity; interest in youth protection issues; good organizational skills; proficiency in data analysis tools like SPSS, R, or Atlas.ti; excellent Dutch and English language skills; and affinity with clinical practice and research-to-practice translation. Experience in supervising students is preferred.
What the Employer Offers: A full-time contract for up to 15 months with a salary between €3,546 and €5,538 per month; 8% holiday allowance and 8.3% end-of-year bonus; attractive pension scheme; flexible working hours with at least 29 vacation days for a full-time week; full reimbursement of public transport commuting costs; options for hybrid working; home office allowance; and a laptop and mobile phone.
