Job Description

The Meng Lab is seeking a Postdoctoral Associate. The candidate is expected to work independently under the supervision of a molecular virologist and a chemical engineer to delineate how and why hepatitis E virus infects across species barriers and jumps species from animals to humans.

Required Qualifications

Ph.D. in virology, cell biology or related fields.
PhD must be awarded no more than four years prior to the effective date of appointment with a minimum of one year eligibility remaining.

Preferred Qualifications

Prior experiences in virology such as reverse genetic systems of positive-strand RNA virus and/or organoid culture systems such as iPSC-based organoids development.
