The Wang Lab at New York University invites applications for a Postdoctoral Associate to conduct experimental research on superconducting quantum devices based on van der Waals (vdW) heterostructures. The project focuses on the fabrication and characterization of coherent superconducting devices integrating two-dimensional materials for quantum computing and sensing applications, as well as the development of broadband, high-precision circuit quantum electrodynamic (cQED) sensing of unconventional superconductors. The successful candidate will play a key role in the early phase of a newly established research group, with opportunities to contribute to shaping experimental capabilities and research directions.
Expertise in nanofabrication and cryogenic measurement systems (e.g., dilution refrigerators) is required. Experience with vdW heterostructure assembly, microwave engineering, and superconducting qubit or resonator characterization is highly preferred.
The successful candidate will collaborate with theoretical and experimental groups within and outside NYU, mentor graduate students, and contribute to maintaining a safe and efficient laboratory environment.
This position is based in New York and the selected candidate will be expected to work onsite as of their effective start date.
In compliance with NYC’s Pay Transparency Act, the annual base salary range for this position is $62,500- $65,000. New York University considers factors such as (but not limited to) the specific grant funding and the terms of the research grant when extending an offer.
