Postdoctoral Associate
About the Job
The primary research focus of this position is to screen patient for unmet social needs, map unmet to community, and help train students the roles of SDOH on their patients. The successful candidate will also contribute to ongoing research projects within the laboratory.
This position is for a 12 month appointment.
Duties and Responsibilities
Laboratory Activity – 60%
- Study design, data collection, management, and analysis
Research Communication – 20%
- Preparing manuscripts for publication and presenting at scientific conferences
Mentoring – 10%
- Training dental students in the laboratory
Qualifications
Required Qualifications
- DDS or equivalent in Public Health
- Knowledge in oral health disparity
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Experience working with Excel, Powerpoint, Microsoft word
- Demonstrated ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a team-oriented environment
Preferred Qualifications
- Proficiency in additive manufacturing and 3D printing
- Experience in manuscript development
- Knowledge of statistical analysis
- General Practice Residency experience
- Experience with community partners or with underserved communities

Pay and Benefits
Pay Range: $62,232 - $65,000 / year; depending on education/qualifications/experience
