"Postdoctoral Fellow"

A postdoctoral position is available for an NIH-funded project in the Department of Neurology, UAB Heersink School of Medicine to investigate novel therapeutics targeting the RNA regulation of neuroinflammatory responses in acute ischemic stroke. This is a multi-PI research project in the laboratories of Dr. Peter H. King, and Dr. Shaida Andrabi.

We’re looking for a highly motivated recent graduate (PhD or equivalent) with a background in neuroscience. Ideal candidates will have hands-on experience with animal models and solid skills in molecular biology. Experience with stroke or brain injury models is a plus. We value a strong work ethic, high motivation, scientific integrity, and a proven record of research productivity, shown through publications, thesis work, and recommendation letters. The ability to work independently is essential.
