refinement of existing analysis pipelines, development of new statistical analyses, figure preparation, and drafting and revision of the manuscript through submission and review.
The fellow will also contribute to general tasks around the laboratory. Responsibilities include maintaining the lab's behavioral and instrumentation infrastructure, supporting graduate and undergraduate students on related projects, and presenting at lab meetings. Fellows are also expected to contribute to the shared upkeep of laboratory space and equipment.
Qualifications
- PhD in mechanical engineering or closely related field, completed by the start date.
- Strong programming ability in MATLAB including significant experience working with large, multimodal datasets.
- Expertise with quantitative analysis of animal behavior and in vivo electrophysiology, especially hippocampal recordings.
- Expertise in statistical modeling for neural and behavioral data.

The referenced salary range represents the minimum and maximum salaries for this position and is based on Johns Hopkins University's good faith belief at the time of posting. Not all candidates will be eligible for the upper end of the salary range. The actual compensation offered to the selected candidate may vary and will ultimately depend on multiple factors, which may include the successful candidate's geographic location, skills, work experience, internal equity, market conditions, education/training and other factors, as reasonably determined by the University.
