Postdoctoral Position, Department of Psychology, University of Washington
The Kim Lab is seeking a full-time postdoctoral scholar with experience in single-unit/LFP recording and/or calcium imaging in rodents. This NIMH-funded position focuses on investigating the neural dynamics of fear circuits in response to potential danger and actual attacks by animate entities. The position offers opportunities for close collaboration within a vibrant neuroscience community at UW. This position is full-time (100% FTE), 12 months/year, with an initial term appointment of one year, with the possibility of renewal subject to satisfactory performance and availability of funding for up to three years. The salary for this position will be $68,460/year ($5,705/month), commensurate with experience and qualifications, or as mandated by a U.S. Department of Labor prevailing wage determination, and employee benefits will be provided. Postdoctoral scholars are represented by UAW 4121 and are subject to the collective bargaining agreement, unless agreed exclusion criteria apply.
