Postdoctoral Research Associate
This is a part time post funded by ArcellX to detect and titre antibodies in myasthenia gravis patients, which will involve the use of 125I-labelled antigens to carry out immunoprecipitation assays, and live cell assays. Other assays may also be needed to determine the pathogenic mechanism of patient antibodies.
As this is a purely lab-based role, it is expected that all work takes place on site, within core working hours. However, there is flexibility in which days and hours the work is carried out each week.
The main responsibility of this role is to provide a service for an external company, so it is imperative that samples are promptly received and processed in a timely and rigorous manner, and all data and methodology is recorded in an organised and precise manner electronically. Experimental data will need to populate a set template, and sent back to the funder using their online data transfer system.
Please see the below 'Job Description' for further details on the responsibilities and selection criteria, as well as further information about the university and how to apply.
The post is part time at 0.5 FTE, for a fixed term until 11th July 2028 in the first instance.
Only applications received before 12.00 midday on Tuesday 24th February will be considered.
Interviews will be held as soon as possible thereafter.
