Essential Job Duties:
The department is requesting a Postdoctoral Scholar to work with Dr. Patrick and conduct research and development (R&D) of multifunctional and self-healing structural polymers and fiber-reinforced composites.

Duties and Responsibilities include:

• Laboratory activities include: polymer synthesis/formulation, composite fabrication, test sample preparation, material characterization, microscopy/spectroscopy, thermo-mechanical evaluation, managing operations, equipment maintenance, and mentoring graduate students.
• Provide: data analysis and visualization, computer programming, computer-aided design (CAD), preparing presentations, reports, and publications, and proposals; interacting with academic/industrial partners.
• Ability to drive a vehicle for off-campus meetings and to transport samples.

Preferred Experience, Skills, Training/Education:
PhD in engineering or related field and experimental laboratory experience with structural fiber-reinforced polymer-matrix composites.
