"Postdoctoral researcher for the project: The Governance of Energy Hub Platforms"

Are you interested in exploring how firms can collectively contribute to decentralized, sustainable energy systems? This postdoctoral position offers the opportunity to investigate governance arrangements for energy hub platforms as part of the SYNERGY project, a collaborative research project funded by NWO.

The SYNERGY project involves researchers from multiple Dutch universities and societal partners, focusing on the role of social dynamics in the energy transition. As a postdoc, you will contribute to work package 2, investigating governance models for energy hub platforms, including decision-making processes, coordination mechanisms, and allocation of roles and risks.

Tasks include: writing at least one high-quality research paper for an international scientific journal; co-developing a decision-making tool; co-organizing workshops; participating in academic conferences and meetings; leading co-creation processes; and contributing to the Academic Collaborative Center for Climate and Energy at Tilburg University.

You will be supervised by Dr. Francesca Ciulli (Tilburg University), with co-supervision from Prof. Anna Wieczorek (Eindhoven University of Technology) and Dr. Christina Bidmon (Utrecht University). You will be embedded in the Department of Organization Studies at Tilburg University, with affiliations to related centers and networks.

Requirements: A completed or nearly completed PhD in a relevant field; excellent Dutch and English communication skills at CEFR C2 level; knowledge of digital technologies and sustainability research; strong qualitative research skills; ability to work in interdisciplinary teams; proactive and organized.

Conditions: Full-time position (1.0 FTE) for 24 months; salary between €3,546 and €4,728 gross per month; benefits include vacation pay, year-end bonus, hybrid working options, and more.
