We are seeking a highly motivated and talented Postdoctoral Researcher with an interest in mental health and cognitive psychology research. The post, supervised by Dr Laurel Morris, is part of a new Welcome Trust funded project involving groups in the Department of Experimental Psychology and the Nuffield Department of Clinical Neuroscience.

The post holder is a member of a research group with responsibility for carrying out research for a new Welcome Trust funded project that uses high-field 7-Tesla MRI, cognitive neuroscience tools, neurofeedback training and digital phenotyping to characterise motivation and related constructs in individuals with depression.

This post is full-time (37.50 hours) and fixed term for two years.

You will be primarily responsible for overseeing and advising on all recruitment and clinical assessment activities and helping design the neurofeedback protocol, including monitoring data quality for clinical interviews, data collection of online databases of self-report assessments, and act as a source of information and advice to other members of the group on methodologies or procedures. Oversee and advise on regulatory and ethical applications, documentation and reporting activities for the project.

The successful candidate will hold, or be about to attain, a relevant PhD/DPhil (or equivalent) in a relevant discipline together with specialised experience in mental health and/or cognitive psychology research and neurofeedback training. Advanced programming and statistical skills, with the ability to manage multiple competing demands along with excellent communication skills are also required. Experience in clinical research or conducting research with a clinical population would be an advantage.
