Postdoctoral Scholar-Fixed Term
Position Summary
The research team of Dr. Miriam B. Vos is focused on solving metabolic dysfunction-associated steatotic liver disease (MASLD) and the early presentation of cardiovascular disease risk in children through clinical and translational studies on prevention, precision nutri-genomics, diagnostics, biomarkers, therapeutics, and outcomes. Methods vary widely from randomized clinical trials to multi-omics explorations, imaging, biomarker development, stable-isotope tracers, and large-scale data sets and machine learning.
The lab is now recruiting for a postdoctoral researcher, who will help design and conduct research relating to child health, precision nutrition, metabolism, and MASLD.
Required Degree
Doctorate - Biology or a related field
Minimum Requirements
- Applicants must have a terminal degree (PhD, MD, or equivalent).
Desired Qualifications
- Expertise in childhood metabolic disease
- Experience with clinical trials
- Experience conducting research in Spanish language-predominant US communities
- A strong record of research accomplishments
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment
- Training in machine learning
- Strong organizational skills
