Description of the Department or Unit
The Department of Sustainable Technology and the Built Environment serves approximately 1,000 undergraduate majors and offers two Bachelor of Science degrees in Building Sciences and Renewable Energy Engineering. The Department also offers a Master of Science in Technology.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- The teaching load will be 12 hrs (4 courses) per semester.
- Teach courses related to construction management with an emphasis on bringing experiences from the field into the classroom.
- Specific course assignments will be determined based on experience.
- Incorporate experience with high-performance buildings and managing projects focused on sustainability into the classroom setting.
- Service assignment may revolve around organizing field trips to construction sites, engaging with student clubs, and/or bringing practitioners to speak in the classroom.
