This role attracts a market supplement of £7,500 per annum. This supplement is a temporary non-consolidated payment and will be reviewed on an annual basis

The role
We are seeking driven individuals with proven track records in commercial leadership, business partnering and procurement expertise, experience and capability. The role will require you to think commercially, innovatively and flexibly, in order to optimise commercial and procurement outcomes.
You will:
- Deliver programmes of work attributable to strategic and complex procurement activities
- Engage with our internal and external stakeholders, 3rd party suppliers and supply markets
- Act as a lead commercial procurement expert working in consultation with subject matter experts across professional services and technical experts
- Develop and deliver procurement strategies including undertaking option appraisals and presenting commercial recommendations
- Develop strong working relationships across multiple disciplines throughout professional and academic services
- Analyse data and present reports to senior stakeholders
- Use planning techniques and risk management competencies
- Line manage procurement professionals
