Background of the recruitment and description of the project
The Research Center for Materials and Measurement Hybrid, Institute of Multidisciplinary Research for Advanced Materials (IMRAM), Tohoku University, invites applications for a Professor position in the Nano/Micro Chemical Measurement Division. We seek an outstanding researcher with an excellent track record in the relevant field who will promote the development of advanced measurement and analytical methods.
Work content and job description
The successful candidate will be appointed to the Institute of Multidisciplinary Research for Advanced Materials (IMRAM), where they will conduct research in the Nano/Micro Chemical Measurement Division. They will also hold a concurrent appointment in the Department of Chemistry, Graduate School of Science, and will be responsible for graduate education and research supervision in inorganic and analytical chemistry. In addition, they will teach undergraduate courses in English in the Advanced Molecular Chemistry Course, Department of Chemistry, Faculty of Science.

Annual salary: 7 million yen
Wages description: The salary amount shown above is provided as a guideline. The actual salary will be determined in accordance with the Tohoku University Salary Regulations for National University Corporation Employees, taking into account the successful candidate's qualifications and experience. Allowances will be paid separately in accordance with the University's regulations.
Working hours: 08:30-17:15
Holidays: Saturdays, Sundays, national holidays, and the New Year holidays (Dec. 29–Jan. 3)
Overtime and other explanations: The discretionary labor system for professional work shall apply. The standard working hours are 8:30 to 17:15, but the actual working hours are at the discretion of each employee.
