PROGRAM COORDINATOR I
Position Summary
Rutgers, The State University of New Jersey is seeking a Program Coordinator I for the Division of Access and Community Engagement.
Among the key duties of this position are the following:
- Oversees and coordinates tutoring and mentoring programs and workshop series for local youth and families on campus and in community settings.
- Serves as the volunteer placement liaison between Rutgers University and the surrounding school districts.
- Performs duties including planning, coordinating, and managing tutoring, mentoring, workshops, host college-bound days, and other programs and events.
Minimum Education and Experience
- Bachelor's degree preferably in psychology, education, social work, or related social sciences or an equivalent combination of education and/or experience.
- At least two years of relevant experience working in a program management function in higher ed or youth-serving settings.

Equipment Utilized
Strong familiarity with equipment and software needed for mentoring and program management, including but not limited to Qualtrics, CANVAS, and Microsoft Office Suite.
Physical Demands and Work Environment
Ability to lift boxes and materials up to 25lbs.
Special Conditions
- This position may require travel.
- Ability to work nights and weekends.
- Must have access to vehicle transportation.
